Practicum students will have completed all the required Master Degree coursework and have significant experience in working with people on a variety of mental health related issues. As such, we are able to offer their therapy sessions at a reduced rate. Their work and sessions are supervised by our Clinical Supervisor, Marleen Filimon (Senior Psychotherapist, EMDR therapist).

EMDR Therapy, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a scientifically validated neurological application to psychotherapy used to alleviate distress associated with traumatic memories, high stress events, panic attacks, anxiety, and grief. The first session will be an intake and assessment, where the clinician will ask you questions to see if EMDR therapy would be a suitable therapy for you. There are some restrictions to working with EMDR, such as traumatic brain injuries, or a history of seizures or epilepsy.
